Footnote

Sadly in early December 2025 Pit Pony was War Dec’d by group of players call Stacmon Border Patrol. Their intention was simply to destroy our moon mines for the killmails. We make it quite clear who we are and what we do, however even so there was always a risk that what we do would not be appreciated by some and we would become content. With our moon mines destroyed, Pit Pony, after 5 years of helping new players to develop and learn the game, finally closed. We do take great pride in the hundreds of new players and small corps we helped over the years and even if 1 of those players is still playing who would have otherwise given up, we consider what we did a success.

Pit Pony Mining Enterprises (PPME) is an Eve charity. This will be our 5th year of giving support to new players and smaller Corps with free moon mining opportunities to members of any Corp or none. Everyone is welcome at a PPME mine.

We recently formed the Pit Pony Charitable Trust (PPCT) an umberella alliance for the small number of like mined corps who work with us.

PPME HISEC moon mines are open to anyone who wishes to mine. They are free and always will be.

Do we make a difference? Looking at our statistics its good to see that many small corps and individuals are benefiting from our mines.

Over the last 8 months there have been 34 Pit Pony moon pops where 150 individuals from 30 Corps have mined over 200 million M3 of rock from our mines with an estimated value of over 20B ISK – not bad for HISEC!

As you may have guessed, the toons in PPME or PPCT are not our main EVE characters – we are very busy elsewhere. PPME and now PPCT, is our way of giving something back to the EVE community. Pit Pony Mining is as much a philosophy as it is a Corp.

Being wardec’d is all part of the game and is what it is. Flying in EVE is always risky, even in HISEC. Just for clarity, PPME does not make any ISK from its HISEC mines. It therefore makes little sense for PPME to pay any ransom if wardec’d. We are aware of the risk of becoming content but so be it.

Pit Pony Mines and members of the PPME Corp and PPCT Corps are always clearly identified via either their ticker, the name of their ship, or the name of the mine.

So again we sign off with our salutation: to our old and new friends, and friends not yet made, we offer you a salute o7. May you find your gates green, your local clear and nothing on grid that you can’t handle.
